Why was David not afraid of Goliath?
It's an age old story that I trust you have heard many times. The question posed by the title above begs an answer. Why was a small, teen age boy completely unafraid and in fact, taunted and trash talked a huge, frightfully large Warrior? David's taunt to Goliath gives us a hint: David referred to Goliath as an "uncircumcised Philistine" calling out the fact that Goliath was not in Covenant with God and David was in Covenant with God. Therefore, David knew who God was and who he was. David was not afraid because he knew who God the Father was and his relationship with Him. In a world that is chock full of fear, we should take note! Do you have a Covenant relationship with the Father? Know the Father and you will not have fear!
